Shraadh Puja, also known as Pitru Paksha or Mahalaya Paksha, is a Hindu ritual that is performed to pay homage to one's ancestors or departed family members. Tripindi denotes the Pinddaan of our ancestors from the preceding three generations. The word 'Shraadh' is derived from the Sanskrit word 'Shradhha', which means devotion or respect.
