In Hindu mythology, there are several stories and beliefs associated with the practice of Pind Daan. One popular belief is that performing Pind Daan helps the soul of the departed ancestors to attain liberation from the cycle of birth and death, and to attain Moksha, which is the ultimate goal of human life.

According to the Hindu epic Mahabharata, King Yudhishthira was advised by Lord Krishna to perform Pind Daan in Gaya to seek forgiveness for the sins committed by his ancestors. It is believed that performing Pind Daan in Gaya has the power to cleanse the souls of the ancestors and help them attain salvation.

Another story associated with Pind Daan is that of the demon Vritra, who was defeated by Lord Indra. It is believed that Vritra's soul was restless and could not attain peace until Lord Indra performed Pind Daan for him.

According to Hindu mythology, ancestors are believed to play a significant role in the lives of their descendants, and it is important to honor and seek blessings from them. Performing Pind Daan is believed to help the souls of the departed ancestors to attain peace and blessings, and to provide guidance and protection to their living descendants.

Important: We at Pitradev allot you a priest who can help you in the procedure and perform the rituals effectively. We do not believe in trapping people by making unrealistic promises and heavy monetary demands.
