Pind Daan (Gold)
According to Hindu mythology, it is believed that Haridwar is one of the four places where drops of Amrit (the elixir of immortality) fell from the pitcher while being carried by Garuda (the mythical bird) during the Samudra Manthan (the churning of the ocean). Therefore, Haridwar is considered a highly auspicious place for performing Pind Daan.
Pind Daan, also known as Tarpan, is a ritual performed by Hindus for the salvation of their ancestors' souls. It involves offering food, water, and prayers to the departed souls of ancestors to help them attain moksha or liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
According to Hindu mythology, Haridwar is considered to be one of the seven holiest places in India where Pind Daan can be performed. It is believed that the city was blessed by Lord Vishnu, who left his footprint on a stone at the Hari ki Pauri ghat. The ghat is considered to be the holiest spot in Haridwar, and it is where the Ganges River enters the plains.
Performing Pind Daan in Haridwar is believed to be highly auspicious and is said to grant the departed soul immediate salvation. The ritual is usually performed during the Pitru Paksha, a fortnight when Hindus pay homage to their ancestors. It is believed that during this period, the veil between the living and the dead is thin, making it easier for the departed souls to receive the offerings made by their living relatives.
Important: We at Pitradev allot you a priest who can help you in the procedure and perform the rituals effectively. We do not believe in trapping people by making unrealistic promises and heavy monetary demands.
