Hindu mythology holds that the departed ancestors' spirits are housed in a place called Pitru Loka. The gates of Pitru Loka are said to be opened during the Shraadh season, allowing the ancestors to visit the terrestrial realm and accept sacrifices and prayers from their offspring. It is said that by participating in the Shraadh Puja, one might win the approval and pardon of their deceased ancestors and assure their welfare in the hereafter.

Pitrus are permitted to visit Earth during the 15 lunar day Pitru paksha or Mahalaya paksha era. Several family members take part in the ritual, which is led by the oldest son. Brahman bhojan is offered to get Pitrus' blessings.

The Tripindi Shraadh Puja is a significant ritual in Hinduism and is performed with great devotion and reverence. It is believed that by performing this ritual, one can ensure the well-being and prosperity of their family, as well as the peaceful transition of their departed loved ones to the afterlife.

It is important to note that the Tripindi Shraadh Puja should be performed by a qualified and experienced priest, and the necessary preparations and procedures should be followed to ensure the efficacy of the ritual.

Important: We at Pitradev allot you a priest who can help you in the procedure and perform the rituals effectively. We do not believe in trapping people by making unrealistic promises and heavy monetary demands.
