Satyanarayan Puja is a Hindu ritual performed to worship Lord Satyanarayan, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The Satyanarayan Puja is believed to bring peace, prosperity, and happiness into the lives of the participants. It is also believed to remove obstacles and fulfill wishes. The puja is a symbol of devotion, faith, and gratitude towards the divine.

The puja involves the offering of various items to the deity, such as flowers, fruits, and sweets. The main prasad offered to Lord Satyanarayan is a mixture of cooked rice, sugar, and ghee, known as "sakkarai pongal" or "chakkarai pongal". The prasad is distributed to all the participants after the puja is completed.

Satyanarayan Katha is a sacred ritual dedicated to Lord Vishnu in the form of Satyanarayan Bhagwan, performed for peace, prosperity, and family well-being. It can be conducted on Purnima (Full Moon), Ekadashi, or on any special occasion such as birthdays, housewarming (Griha Pravesh), anniversaries, or fulfillment of a vow.

The Satyanarayan Puja usually takes around 2 hours to complete and is performed as per traditional vidhi.

  • Sankalp by Yajman (taking name and gotra)

  • Gauri Ganesh Pujan

  • Navgraha Pujan

  • Satyanarayan Bhagwan Pujan and Abhishekam

  • Katha Recitation

  • Shanti Havan

  • Aarti

Pandit Ji will bring all required pooja materials including Satyanarayan Bhagwan idol, Asan, and other puja samagri, except the following which need to be arranged by you:

  • 5 types of fruits

  • Sweets (If possible make Panjiri at Home)

  • Curd and milk (for preparing Panchamrit)
